What is WE are Canada?

WE are Canada is an initiative of WE, in partnership with Heritage Canada, to celebrate Canada’s
150 birthday through actions that will help build a more caring and compassionate future for
our country and all Canadians.

WE are Canada invites schools, families, companies and individuals across the country to commit
to making a difference through school curriculum, fundraising campaigns or other service
initiatives designed to bring about positive change in our communities.

What are the goals of WE are Canada?

WE set the following goals for the WE are Canada initiative:

1 MILLION YOUNG CANADIANS

Taking the pledge to actively
engage in WE are Canada.

1 MILLION DOLLARS

Raised for local Canadian
organizations and causes.

1 MILLION VOLUNTEER HOURS
